Tank Types

Every configuration built to your specifications

🔲

Rectangular Tanks

Flat-sided tanks ideal for maximizing floor space and easy integration into process lines. Available in any dimensions, with or without covers, fittings, and internal baffles.

Round / Cylindrical Tanks

Vertical or horizontal cylindrical tanks offering superior structural strength and even pressure distribution. Available with flat, cone, or domed bottoms.

🛡️

Drip Containment Pans

Secondary containment pans fabricated to fit under valves, pumps, and process equipment. Custom dimensions to match your footprint and chemical exposure requirements.

🔄

Process Tanks

Heavy-duty tanks for chemical processing, electroplating, etching, and treatment applications. Designed with appropriate wall thickness, reinforcing ribs, and all required process connections.

🧩

Tank Liners

Thermoplastic liners installed inside existing concrete or metal tanks to provide chemical resistance and extend service life without full tank replacement.

🛠️

Custom Configurations

Multi-compartment tanks, tanks with integral sumps, overflow weirs, heating coil pockets, agitator mounts, and any other custom feature your process demands.

Available Materials

Select the right thermoplastic for your chemical environment and temperature requirements

🔵

PVC (Type I, Grade I)

Max Service Temp: 140°F (60°C)
  • Most cost-effective option
  • Excellent chemical resistance
  • Resists acids, bases, and salts
  • NSF-61 certified grades available
  • ASTM D1784 Cell Class 12454
🟤

CPVC (Corzan®)

Max Service Temp: 200°F (93°C)
  • Higher temperature capability than PVC
  • Same broad chemical resistance
  • Self-extinguishing (UL-94 V-0)
  • Ideal for hot chemical processes
  • ASTM D1784 Cell Class 23447

Polypropylene (PP)

Max Service Temp: 180°F (82°C)
  • Lighter weight than PVC or CPVC
  • Excellent resistance to oxidizing acids
  • Good for concentrated sulfuric acid
  • Available in natural and gray
  • Common for plating and etching tanks
🟡

PVDF (Kynar®)

Max Service Temp: 275°F (135°C)
  • Superior purity for semiconductor use
  • Resists most aggressive chemicals
  • Excellent UV and weather resistance
  • Low permeability to gases
  • Premium material for critical applications
🟢

Polyethylene (PE / HDPE)

Max Service Temp: 140°F (60°C)
  • Outstanding impact resistance
  • Excellent chemical resistance
  • Low moisture absorption
  • Cost-effective for large tanks
  • Available in natural and black

Fabrication Capabilities

Advanced thermoplastic fabrication — the Harrison "Total Source" difference

📐

Built to Your Prints

Send us your engineering drawings or a hand sketch — our experienced fabricators will produce your tank to exact specifications. No standard sizes to work around.

⚙️

CNC Machining

Precision CNC machining for nozzle penetrations, flange faces, mounting pads, and custom fittings. Tight tolerances achieved on all machined surfaces.

🔥

Hot-Air & Extrusion Welding

Structural hot-air and extrusion welding techniques produce strong, leak-tight seams. Multiple weld passes ensure full fusion and long service life.

🔩

Fittings & Connections

All required nozzles, flanged outlets, drain connections, overflow weirs, vent ports, and inspection hatches fabricated and installed at the factory.

🪛

Bending & Forming

Sheet bending, heat forming, and rolling to produce curved panels, cone bottoms, domed heads, and complex three-dimensional shapes from flat sheet stock.

🔬

Quality Inspection

Every tank is thoroughly inspected for weld integrity, dimensional accuracy, and proper fit-up of all connections before shipment from our Ohio facility.
